Garden Shredder
If you cut down a lot of garden matter, then a garden shredder will be very useful. It’s an effective way to compact things like branches, bushes and other garden offcuts without taking up all of your green bin space. One of the best things about this is that it also creates free compost! Get yourself a big compost bin and then you can put the end product from the garden shredder in there and it’ll produce compost in a much shorter space of time compared to if you were to leave it to decompose naturally, which could take years and years for some types of garden waste. You can also throw your food waste into there to create fantastic, free and healthy compost for your garden. If you don’t want to commit to buying a garden shredder, perhaps you could hire one once a year and then at that time, do a big garden overhaul, so you’re only shredding once a year. However, if you regularly need to cut things down from your garden and want a more consistent supply of free compost throughout the year, then investing in one will be worth the money, especially if it will come in handy for friends and family members too.
